Panacur C is an anthelminthic (dewormer) used in the treatment of certain types of roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm infections in dogs.

The dosing for Panacur C differs from Panacur Granules in the 1 pound tub. Use 1gm packet per 10 pounds of body weight for Panacur C, and round up for weights in between 10 pound increments. As an example: if you have a 56 pound dog, you would round up to 60 pounds, and thus the dog would need 6 grams as a dose. This means you would need a 4 gram packet and a 2 gram packet to adequately dose this pet. This product is made by Merck Animal Health.

Fenbendazole, 22.2% (222mg/g).
Directions for Use:
The usual dose for dogs is given once a day for 3 consecutive days. The medication can be mixed with a small amount of the animal's usual food. Dry dog food may require slight moistening to allow for proper mixing. Medicated food must be fully consumed to be effective. For every 10lbs of weight dose with 1gm each day for three days. If your dog's weight is in-between the suggested dosing sizes, it is safe to use the next higher size. Example: If your dog is 24 pounds, you would round up to 30 pounds, which means the dog would need 3 grams (1 of the 1 gram packets and 1 of the 2 gram packets) once a day for 3 days. You would need to order 1 box of the 1 gram size and 1 box of the 2 gram size. Each box contains 3 packets.
Special Precautions:
Side effects of Panacure C are rare, but may include loose stools. This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. Because humans can contract roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm from pets, it is important to maintain good personal hygiene. It is also important to eliminate fleas on the pet and in the household and to not feed the pet rodents or uncooked meat or fish. To prevent reinfection, daily cleanup of stools is recommended. Store this medication at controlled room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
