Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews

Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews Joint Health Supplement for Dogs builds on the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables (ASU), glucosamine, and chondroitin sulfate, and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) combination in Dasuquin®  and adds Boswellia serrata extract, Curcumin longa extract (containing curcuminoids), and alpha-lipoic acid. Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews also contains a green tea complex, EPA, and DHA. The new ingredients in Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews have been shown in cell culture research to provide superior inhibition of the inflammatory response when each was added to ASU/glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate/MSM. Clinical trials suggest that Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews may help to alleviate the pain and stiffness of knee and hip osteoarthritis and reduce the need for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). While sensitivity to avocados has been reported in a few dogs, taking Dasuquin® tablets Advanced Soft Chews is not the same as eating whole avocados. The ASU in Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews has been evaluated in a safety study in dogs, and no adverse effects were noted from administration. There are no known contraindications or known interactions between Dasuquin® Advanced Soft Chews and any drug or nutritional supplement.

Allow 4-6 weeks initially to note a response, though some dogs may respond sooner. If desired, the dose may then be reduced to a maintenance level. Once consistent improvement is noted at the maintenance level, administration may be further reduced to every other day.

The maintenance level can also be used long-term on healthy dogs to help support their joints. An individual dog's needs may vary. Dogs on a maintenance level can be increased to the initial level as needed, e.g. on weekends or other times when they are more active, to provide extra support to the joints.
