Clindamycin Capsule Antibiotic for Pets

Prescription Clindamycin is effective against a range of bacteria and some protozoa that cause infections in dogs and cats. This medication is often prescribed to treat bacterial infections of the soft tissue, bone, and teeth.

Veterinarians prescribe the antibiotic Clindamycin to treat a range of bacterial infections that attack bone, teeth, and soft tissue in cats and dogs. This proven antibiotic is effective because it stops bacteria from growing and reproducing so they can no longer continue to cause infection.  Clindamycin is also effective against some protozoa that cause infections in pets.  The small capsule form can be given directly or put in a treat or pill pocket. It’s available in three different dosage levels. Your pet's veterinarian will prescribe the right level for your pet.
